  Bring Benefit Back To Community

I could not become this far without my brave effort, hard-working, discipline, criticism and failures and the people who always supported me, my family, my neighbors, my teachers and my friends. As a gesture of thanks, this is the reason why I proposed this project. I had such a strong passion to do so but I did not have any budget to run it.

"When I was young, I was given countless opportunities to develop myself. I had a dream that once I successfully fulfilled my dream. I would contribute what I had learnt back to my community where I grew up. Finally, it became a free English course"

Back then, I lived in a small village far away from the downtown where high technologies were hard to access. I was really passionate about studying English. As living in the countryside, there was nothing about English for me to learn about as well as my family was poor. They cannot afford me at all to study so in the downtown. I had no choices but I decided to learn it myself through some free English textbook provided by the school at that time. Importantly, I regularly spoke English with my lovely dog and assumed that she understood. It took me many years in uplifting my skills. So, I decided to apply for a fully-funded scholarship to the US and finally I was selected.

So, I published a letter to all friends and teachers about my plan to make a 3-month of a free English course for the youth in my local village where I grew up.  With the community support, the project was done successfully. I also learnt a lot through the camp. It taught me that no matter what you are dreaming of, if you have a strong faith in it, never stop it, it will lead you to the great success.

The reasons why I made this free English course because 1. My village is located at a countryside where educational facilities are still needed. 2. The youth's  families do not have enough money to afford for an expensive tutorial in the downtown so that they, the students, can not be able to have a chance to study English. It was a 3-month course taken place since February-April, 2017.

The children were very active and happy to study English with me. During the course, I was so delighted to see them help one another. The grant I received, I spent it on buying teaching materials, stationary and some snacks for them. I could not carry this big mission out without people such as my teachers, my family members, the villagers and lovely volunteers- my friends.
